Tameka Lockhart-Spann, MJ-LEL, MBA-HR, SHRM-CP, PHR

With over nine years of experience working in human resources, Tameka Lockhart-Spann works as a strategic partner providing full spectrum talent management/HR support and assistance to employees and managers. 

Prior to joining Nonprofit HR, Tameka served as a human resources expert in the Government Defense industry, which also includes active-duty experience as an HR professional in the U.S. Navy. She is experienced in supporting organizations with over 650+ employees and maintains expertise in employee relations, HRIS system implementation, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, employee engagement, policy development and compliance. She enjoys the opportunity to observe and explore the multiple sides of employer/employee concerns through evaluating impact/results of potential solutions. She eagerly takes on the tall order of helping to build and sustain an inclusive work environment where everyone thrives.

Tameka received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in HR Management and a Master of Business Administration in HR Management (MBA-HR) from Saint Leo University. She is currently enrolled in Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law (MJ-LEL) program at Tulane University. Tameka is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and also holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification through HR Certification Institute (HRCI). In her spare time, enjoys interior decorating, hiking nature trails and traveling with family.
