Jasmine Pete, MS
Jasmine provides strategic human resources thought partnership and operational support as the primary point of contact or member of a larger team to the firm’s retained and project-based HR consulting clients both on-site and in a remote environment. Working closely with the Team Leader and colleagues, she provides proactive and high-quality human resources support in a client service environment, leveraging proven best practices to organizations seeking relevant, strategic, creative and innovative HR solutions that align with their organizational and business needs. She leads in the development, execution and monitoring of human resources goals, objectives and systems on behalf of clients. She also provides guidance and mentorship to HR Associates/Assistants. Her approach and HR philosophy are rooted in best practices, empathy, objectivity and integrity, as well as creative problem solving. She is passionate about helping others succeed and align well with mission-driven nonprofit organizations.Jasmine has 15 years of experience working for both nonprofit organizations and for-profit businesses across the HR lifecycle. Prior to Nonprofit HR, she worked for a community-based nonprofit in Southern California as a Human Resources Generalist within an HR Department of one for six years. She has managed several areas of the HR lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, employee retention and relations, organizational restructures, performance management, risk management, employee handbook revisions and exits. She is comfortable operating as the first point of contact for staff as well as a strategic partner for executives. The success of the organization and employees are top of mind when she recommends and implements policies, procedures or systems changes. Her passion for helping others succeed expresses itself in more ways than one, and she believes time invested in building trust among employees and the executive team is well spent. She is eager to learn an organization’s culture, work, values and goals and passionate about collaborating with executive leadership to develop impactful organizational goals that lead to the success of staff and the organization’s mission. She enjoys coaching and empowering supervisors to communicate effectively and build trust with their team to create a supportive and welcoming work space for all.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resources Management. She also has two miniature dachshunds and lots of houseplants.
