Deborah Russell

Deborah Russell provides strategic human resource thought partnership and operational support to the firm's retained and project-based HR consulting clients.

Deborah brings over 30 years of experience in the HR field. Deborah’s HR career was born in the government sector at a public health hospital in Galveston, Texas. It was there her passion for HR took over. Since that time, Deborah’s career has encompassed a range of industries, including tech, oil, publishing and recruiting, as well as various manufacturing experiences from plastics to food in both union and non-union environments. Deborah is a true generalist, and her strategic and tactical expertise covers employee relations, full-cycle recruiting, compliance, talent management, training, organizational development and HR analytics.

Deborah has a Journalism degree from Morrisville College in upstate New York. In addition, Deborah is a Six Sigma Executive Black Belt and has completed executive leadership development programs at Rice University. Deborah also has in-depth Gallup engagement training and has served as an Engagement Coordinator in her past career work. Deborah’s belief in transparency, proactive customer service, active listening and effective problem solving has provided the roadmap for a very successful HR career. In her personal life, Deborah manages several websites where she markets handcrafted jewelry as well as quilts for babies and toddlers. These creative skills are combined into giving back to the community with volunteer efforts at Kids’ Meals and at various assisted living centers near her home.
