Keating Advisors Merges with Nonprofit HR
Firms Merge to Increase Social Sector-Specific Total Rewards Services

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 6, 2022 – Nonprofit HR, the country’s leading and oldest firm focused exclusively on the talent management needs of social impact organizations, and Keating Advisors, a compensation design and benchmarking firm, announced today that they have merged to deepen their consulting capabilities, relationships and compensation expertise. The merger was finalized May 31, 2022. The two combined brands will operate as Nonprofit HR.

“As jobseekers place new pressures on employers for meaningful rewards systems and employers seek new ways to foster equitable workplaces, the knowledge, expertise and strategic guidance provided by the newly merged Nonprofit HR and Keating Advisors will serve as a critical resource for nonprofits seeking to lead the sector. This merger comes at a crucial moment in time as mission-driven organizations are seeking new ways to attract and retain high performing employees. This merger will only further strengthen social impact organizations’ ability to position themselves in a fiercely competitive labor market,” said Lisa Brown Alexander, President and CEO of Nonprofit HR.

The merger comes as Kim Keating, Founder of Keating Advisors, is stepping away from the firm after 18 years to pursue new career endeavors. Through the Keating Advisors Merges with Nonprofit HR, Nonprofit HR will continue to serve Keating Advisors’ clients, and members of Keating Advisors’ compensation team will join Nonprofit HR’s Total Rewards practice. Managing Director, Jenn Wendus, is also pursuing new career endeavors after 15 years with Keating Advisors.

“It has been an honor to serve so many mission-driven organizations over the years and it was important to me that they are taken care of. Being part of Nonprofit HR will create new opportunities for our clients to gain the support of a premier team of consultants across the full talent management spectrum. I know they will be in excellent hands with Nonprofit HR,” said Keating.

“Keating Advisors has always prioritized high-quality, innovative service delivery and as a result, has earned an impeccable reputation within the nonprofit sector for their quantitative and qualitative compensation assessments and analyses. It is my honor to further grow the business that Kim started,” said Brown Alexander.

During its 18 years, Keating Advisors specialized in compensation, performance management and organizational development. The team of expert consultants helped hundreds of organizations dramatically improve individual and operational performance through strategic talent management and alignment. Keating is known for designing customized, practical, evidence-based solutions that transformed organizations into high-performing best places to work.
