About this role:
Pathfinder International is looking for an experienced controller to serve as a key leader of the accounting team, to driving strategy for process improvement and operational excellence and motivating a talented team of accounting/financial professionals to support the organization’s mission and goals. In this role, the controller will direct accounting operations, institute, and maintain internal controls, and serves as a financial management resource to programmatic and operational staff on all levels for the project or organization. This person will lead process improvement efforts to streamline and improve accounting, control, and administrative operations.
A Few Key Performances/Responsibilities:
- Accounting Management- Directs all aspects of the accounting function and maintains accounting records of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and grant requirements.
- Financial Statement & Tax Return Preparation Oversight- Oversees the preparation of the annual financial statements, including the Single Audit reports, Form 990, FBAR & and other required tax filings.
- Internal Controls- Institutes and maintains internal controls throughout Pathfinder, including all country offices.
