Nonprofit HR announced today the addition of Heather de la Riva as lead HR Consultant for The HR Cooperative – Nonprofit HR’s virtual services program for small nonprofit organizations.
Established in 2010, The HR Cooperative (The Cooperative) offers small to mid-size nonprofits the opportunity to have access to experienced HR professionals in a simple, affordable, and virtual format. The Cooperative has proven to be very popular with small nonprofit and is now serving more than a dozen organizations nationwide.

De la Riva brings a wealth of talent to The Cooperative. With focus areas in employee relations
and engagement, performance management and recruitment, she has collaborated with organizations to create a culture that focuses on their most important asset, their people. In her previous role as the Senior Director of Human Resources for Americans for Prosperity Foundation, de la Riva built an HR structure and operation from the ground-up. Through the creation of a strong performance management program, recruitment and retention plans and training and development, she assisted in the organization’s growth from 40 to just over 300 staff. De la Riva has a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
