What attracted you to Nonprofit HR? I was immediately drawn to Nonprofit HR for several reasons. Firstly, the diverse and inclusive culture resonated deeply with me. Secondly, my passion for learning and personal growth was met with the prospect of working alongside exceptional mentors. Initially, I joked that the company sounded too good to be true, perhaps just another California startup funded by eccentric venture capitalists. However, as I delved deeper, I realized that Nonprofit HR’s commitment to excellence was indeed genuine, making it clear that I had found something special. What is the coolest thing you’re working on right now and why? At the moment, my primary focus is ensuring timely month-end closings, with a goal of even earlier completion. While it may not be the most glamorous task, there’s a deep satisfaction in managing the complex process, even when it doesn’t always flow seamlessly. I really enjoy it when all the numbers align and begin to tell a story, offering insights into our financial health and guiding data-driven decisions. |

What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
As a child, my favorite activities revolved around creativity and imagination — I loved sewing clothes for my dolls and bringing my designs to life through drawing. Maybe, these childhood interests laid the foundation for my passion for precision and attention to detail, which I now apply in my work.
What is a fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that when I joined Nonprofit HR, I encountered a task on the 401K website where I had to choose my pension lifestyle. It presented a challenging decision: whether to prioritize travel or fitness. Thanks to Nonprofit HR’s flexible schedule, wellness stipend, and supportive work environment, I humorously decided to “retire” early and pursue my dream today. Committing to yoga practice three times a week has brought balance and serenity into my life. Additionally, my newfound love for running has transformed a lifelong aversion into pure enjoyment with each stride. It’s all about achieving that well-known and crucial work-life balance.
What is your favorite quote?
“Knock, and the door will be opened to you.” This quote reflects my belief in the power of determination and perseverance. I firmly believe that the only limits we face are the ones we impose on ourselves. Just as one person can go on a space mission, we are also capable of reaching great heights. With courage, effort and resilience, any obstacle can be overcome and any dream can come true.
