Nonprofit HR today announced the hiring of Shaneka Stanley and Caroline Garrett as Human Resources Consultants. The firm expects these two new additions to its expert staff to allow the firm to continue to serve its growing nonprofit client base.

“Our firm continues to be in high demand across the sector,” said Lisa Brown Morton, President/CEO of Nonprofit HR. “The additions of Shaneka and Caroline are just the initial steps we are taking this year to grow our business and brand while maintaining our reputable level of service.”

Shaneka has joined Nonprofit HR’s Chicago office as an HR Consultant to help support the firm’s Chicagoland clientele.

Shaneka’s nonprofit sector career began at the Illinois Action for Children where she worked as an HR Specialist for six and a half years. In her career, Shaneka has been responsible for a myriad of HR duties including talent management, employee relations, training and development and employee communications. Shaneka has earned two Masters degrees, one in Communications and Training from Governors State University and the other in Human Resources Management from Roosevelt University. She also conducts job skills workshops for churches, schools and community agencies in her spare time.

Caroline Garrett has been hired as an HR Consultant and will work with the firm’s Washington, DC based clients.

Caroline brings close to ten years of HR experience with her to the firm. She most recently served as an HR Manager with the Pew Research Center where she was an integral part of an HR team serving 120 employees. Prior to the work with Pew, Caroline served as an HR Generalist with LexisNexis and as a Senior HR Associate with Grant Thornton.

Caroline has a strong generalist experience along with a passion for career and professional development, performance management, and employee relations. She received her bachelors in Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic University and holds a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University.
