Nonprofit HR Solutions (NPHRS) today announced the hiring of Lisa A. Wright, SPHR as a Senior Human Resources Consultant, Tamra Armour as a HR Consultant and Amy Byer as an Associate HR Consultant. The firm is entering its 18-month of unprecedented growth, which has created the need to hire expert staff for its growing client base especially in Chicago.

“We had no real plans to increase staff this year,” said Lisa Brown Alexander, President/CEO of NPHRS. “However our growing client base created a need. We feel fortunate to have found HR professionals who are able to hit the ground running and meet the growing needs of our mission-driven clients.”

Lisa A. Wright brings more than 14 years of HR experience to the firm including her most recent work with Hometown America where she served as Vice President, Human Resources for seven years. In her role as VP, Wright was brought into a newly created position to develop and drive corporate strategy in response to rapid growth of the organization. Prior to this position, Wright served as HR Manager with Transwestern Commercial Services, a commercial real estate services firm, for five years where she implemented a series of strategic HR solutions for a staff of 660. She brings to NPHRS a strong background as a HR Generalist with a focus in organizational development and change management. Wright will serve as the lead consultant for the firm’s Chicago operations.

Tamra J. Armour has served as a contract recruiter and HR consultant with a variety of organizations in the Chicago area since June 2010 most recently with the Howard Brown Health Center (HRHC). Prior to her work with HBHC, she served as Internal HR Consultant with World Kitchen, LLC, where she provided HR advice and guidance to the 2,800-employee international company. Previous HR experience includes Armour’s work with The University of Chicago Hospitals and Graduate School of Business where she served as a Program Manager for Leadership Effectiveness and Development.

Amy Byer has been hired as an Associate HR Consultant for The HR Cooperative — NPHRS’s HR outsourcing service for small nonprofit organizations. She assists with various clients’ needs and provides support to the Cooperative in the areas of recruitment, benefits, training and development, and performance management.

Before joining Nonprofit HR Solutions, Byer worked in the human resources department at Westside Family Healthcare, a nonprofit accredited community health system in Wilmington, Delaware. Byer is a recent graduate from the University of Delaware where she received a Bachelor of Science in Management with a minor in Leadership.
