Nonprofit HR CEO Named to ESSEC Business School’s International Advisory Board |
Cergy, France, February 13, 2020 – Social sector pioneer, Lisa Brown Alexander, and President & CEO of Nonprofit HR, has been named to ESSEC Business School’s International Advisory Board (IAB). The Board is a rotating consultative body made up of a dozen businesspeople and academics who provide direction to the school on strategic topics. The Board convened in New York City February 7- 8 for a day and a half of discussions, presentations, and interactive and collaborative workshops aiming to tap into the expertise and insight of its members.
In a world facing major societal evolutions, including digital transformation and the effects of climate change, ESSEC Business School seeks to educate its students to become responsible and inclusive business leaders capable of thriving and anticipating change in a rapidly evolving world.
“The International Advisory Board has an invaluable role to play in informing ESSEC’s strategic direction, especially at a time in our history in which companies are facing significant economic, technological and environmental transformation. Our ambition is to train a new generation of leaders who will be the architects of responsible and inclusive growth and who will imagine a new type of company in the future,” said Vincenzo Vinzi, President and Dean of ESSEC Business School.
“The social sector is rapidly changing as social enterprises and larger nonprofits continue tackling global issues. Accepting ESSEC’s invitation to join the IAB was an easy choice, as its mission aligns well with Nonprofit HR’s,” said Brown Alexander.
Brown Alexander shared that IAB’s brand savvy and bandwidth, makes them attractive to current and aspiring leaders looking for a first-rate education. She will ideate with IAB on new strategies to strengthen the people management and social responsibility capacities of ESSEC’s undergraduate and graduate-level curriculum. Brown Alexander’s extensive experience providing talent management guidance and solutions for social impact organizations was particularly attractive to the selection committee.
ESSEC’s International Advisory Board convenes every 18 months in countries throughout the world and board members serve for four and half years, or for three meetings. Prior meetings have occurred on ESSEC’s international campuses in Singapore and Rabat, Morocco.
