Nonprofit HR Announces Strategic Partnership with Birches Group
New Partnership to Offer Much Needed Comprehensive Compensation, Benefits Surveys to Social Sector Organizations

Nonprofit HR Announces Strategic Partnership with Birches Group Washington DC and New York (December 2021) – Nonprofit HR, a full services national talent management consulting firm focused exclusively on the social sector is pleased to announce its newest strategic partnership with Birches Group LLC, a global human resources consulting group that provides integrated workforce solutions to clients in over 150 countries.

Nonprofit HR is the leading and oldest firm in the United States focused exclusively on the talent management needs of the social sector, including nonprofits, associations, social enterprises and other mission-driven organizations. Nonprofit HR offers consulting services in the areas of strategy and advisory, HR outsourcing, total rewards, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and executive search.

This new partnership brings together the firms’ combined expertise to provide comprehensive compensation and benefits surveys to Nonprofit HR’s network of clients, ultimately bringing together market data for U.S.-based nonprofits and NGOs.

In commenting on the partnership, Lisa McKeown, Managing Director of Total Rewards, Nonprofit HR, said, “U.S.-based social impact organizations and the U.S.-based operations of most NGOs are very closely aligned in mission, values and types of roles, so including this data in our analysis is a natural fit and opens the door to more collaboration and partnership amongst the different clients that Nonprofit HR and Birches Group partners with; they are more similar than we realize!”

Under this partnership, Nonprofit HR will co-sponsor Birches Group’s compensation and benefits surveys and help promote survey participation to all their clients. Together, both parties will also be exploring possible compensation management events, webinars, content and other activities to provide professional development opportunities for HR practitioners in the United States.

Curtis Grund, Senior Consultant for International Development in Birches Group, added, “Birches Group’s core client group–international NGOs–are also almost all nonprofit organizations and have wanted to benchmark pay for their U.S. offices against a broad range of nonprofits, but to date have had to do so with a patchwork of different surveys. This partnership with Nonprofit HR creates the opportunity for a single survey, using Birches Group’s proven methodology, for both broad and very specific comparisons and flexibility suitable for nonprofit organizations across a wide spectrum of mission types, sizes and locations.”

The firms will begin working together to serve Nonprofit HR clients in the United States immediately. More information is available at nonprofithr.com and www.birchesgroup.com.
