POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent is a member of the leadership team of the Association and plans, directs, and executes strategic and tactical plans for the Human Resources function. Plans, directs, and implements the activities of the Association’s Human Resources function including Recruitment, On-Boarding, Performance Management, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion (DEI), Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Training and Development, Employee Engagement, and Compliance. Develops and interprets Human Resources policies and procedures. Ensures that operations are in compliance with legal and governmental requirements.
A FEW KEY SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
- Develops short and long-range goals and strategic objectives for the Association’s Human Resources activities with a focus on talent management. Develops, recommends, and implements new/revised Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Oversee all aspects of human capital management and ensures effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure a positive impact on the association.
- Lead AOTA’s internal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, Access & Belonging (DEIJAB) efforts. Oversees the execution of critical DEI partnerships and activities for staff. Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, accountability, trust, recognition and results among staff at all levels consistent with the short and long-term objectives of the organization.
- Develop programs and initiatives to improve employee morale and wellness, while enhancing the employee experience.
- Evaluates key HRIS systems. Ensures upgrades and new technologies are integrated as necessary.
