ABOUT LEADERSHIP HOWARD COUNTY
Leadership Howard County (LHC) is the critical force in preparing, inspiring, connecting and sustaining community leaders to make Howard County the best place to live, work and play. Since its launch over 35 years ago, LHC has committed to cultivating and engaging leaders through excellent programs and opportunities challenging them to translate their visions into action. By convening community leaders through meaningful programming, LHC has yielded a dedicated network of professionals and the next generation of emerging leaders equipped to transform our community. Today, our programs include Leadership Premier, Leadership Essentials (in partnership with Loyola University), Leadership U, Community Impact Projects and our alumni programming and special events.
The Executive Director is a critical and visible position requiring strong business (financial, operations) and development experience. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible to execute the strategic direction, leadership, and day-to-day operations of the organization as well as community-focused and mission-aligned program development and innovation. The Executive Director works collaboratively with the board to execute a highly strategic vision and facilitate relationships with key stakeholders including LHC’s members and alumni network, funders, community leaders, corporate partners, the media and more.
