The DC Rape Crisis Center has retained Nonprofit HR to manage its search for an Executive Director.
The Executive Director works closely and collaboratively with the Board of Directors to ensure effective development and advancement of the Center’s mission and strategic plan. The Executive Director is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the success of the policies and practices to achieve this goal. The Executive Director works with the Board, staff and volunteers to ensure successful outcomes for programmatic, operational, and financial efforts, as well as organizational success. The Executive Director is responsible for optimizing and sustaining the public profile of the organization as the local leader in addressing the needs of sexual assault survivors and their families and in advancing risk-reduction and prevention in the city, and as the local thought leader on the issue of sexual violence. Coalition-building among peer agencies and fundraising for the maintenance and growth of the organization are also key components of this position.
