A resourceful place

Nonprofit HR Solutions has launched its 2013 Nonprofit Employment Trends Survey, a national survey of nonprofit employment practices.

The survey, produced annually by Nonprofit HR Solutions, is designed to address the lack of statistical information available on nonprofit human resources practices and trends. The 2012 survey focused on four areas: staff size and projected growth; recruitment strategies and budgeting; staffing challenges; and staffing resource management.

“The Nonprofit Employment Trends Survey has become a benchmarking tool for the sector. Many nonprofit organizations now use the survey data to ensure that their employment practices are in line with sector-wide trends,” said Lisa Brown Morton, president and CEO of Nonprofit HR Solutions. “Our survey has gained in recognition and following over the past half decade and our audience continues to expect more in-depth information every year.”

In an effort to provide more useful and in-depth information, Nonprofit HR Solutions is continuing its partnership with The Improve Group to facilitate the survey and has recruited other partners such as LinkedIn to reach as many nonprofits as possible.

“Our survey has always been statistically valid, but we continue to use every available avenue to let nonprofits know that there is sector specific data available that can help them better achieve their missions through effective employment practices,” said Morton.

The survey period has been moved up this year so that results can be made available to the sector in early 2013. In the past, the survey data was collected in January and made available in late spring of each year.

Those nonprofits interested in participating may access the survey by visiting nphr1400.wpengine.com/survey. The deadline for survey submission is November 21, 2012. Compilation of the final survey report is scheduled for January 2013.
